Thanks PPUMC!!

What a great day at the job site. The wonderful people of Point Pleasant United Methodist once again provided food and drink for the work crews during lunch. It's going to be difficult getting people to move on to different projects after being spoiled so much during this one.

We were provided with chili (from a mild, meaty mix to smokin hot and a couple of in betweeners), refreshments and some great fellowship with folks that remain important clients but have grown into so much more.

We have been blessed as a company and as individuals to be yoked into this grand undertaking with a congregation, a building committee and a Pastor that exemplify the Body of Christ. Thanks again PPUMC for all that you have given to us at Applegate Johnston!

First time blogger. To my church family at Point Pleasant UMC and my new friends at Applegate-Johnston it is pure privilege to be yoked with you in this God blessed enterprise. To be able to offer you hospitality as a tangible expression of our gratitude for your work and dedication to our common mission is an expression of love on our part.
I watched group after group of Sunday School students and adults from the church wander the Buscher Campus yesterday marveling at what is coming into being. As I was ready to leave about 1:30 some of our Cambodian brothers and sisters were coming to PPUMC for study, fellowship and worship. I crossed paths with a young woman whose name I do not know and who I did not ever remember meeting before. She asked me what was going on over there – pointing to the Buscher Campus and I told her that was what her church was building! Her look was priceless and incredulous.
We are truly among God’s adopted chosen people. Chosen to spread the Gospel and make disciple of Jesus Christ and the ministry tools that are taking shape on the Buscher Campus are a testimony to God’s faithfulness and our attempts at obedience.
There is no place I would rather be – no where else I would want to call my church home and no other people I would want to call church family than those of us who are here and who will come in the future. I guess that about covers it from the perspective of Pastor Neal for this morning.
